Born and raised in southern Catalonia, Spain, Maria has a twin sister who is also a tattoo artist. She comes from a family with a strong artistic legacy; her childhood home was filled with collections of paintings, books, and music.
Many of her ancestors were artists, and she feels a connection to them through her creative process. (Notable relatives include Joan Llaverias, a painter, illustrator, and pioneer in the art of engraving and lino printing in Catalonia in the 1900s; and her grandfather, Joaquim Amat Piniella, best known for writing "K.L. Reich," a harrowing story of life in a World War II concentration camp, based on his own experience as a prisoner in Mauthausen.)
Maria studied Fashion Design in Tarragona and Arts and Design in Barcelona. She also studied music for over 10 years. One of the highlights of her job is involving her clients in the creative process, ensuring their ideas are an integral part of the finished artwork.
When she's not tattooing, Maria enjoys playing the guitar, working out to relieve stress, and engaging in outdoor activities and travel for fun.
